These Ladies founded Theta Phi Alpha for what we know it today, at Merrimack College. The sorority, which most of the girls were in before, never went national.
Merrimack College informed TOE that they wanted only Greek life on campus to be National. This put the girls of TOE at quite a disadvantage, and left them to finding a national sorority. With help from Bridgewater State their sister school who helped the ladies take the sorority National. The ladies branched off from their local chapter sorority Pi Theta Epsilon (TOE) to form Theta Phi Alpha.
Pi Theta Epsilon was founded October 9, 1984 by Terri Egan a Merrimack Student
